The mission of AC Language School is to provide cost-efficient, accessible, and quality materials for all students around the globe. AC Language School students graduate with substantial classroom knowledge, job experience, and are debt free, equipped to impact today’s world.

Philosophy

AC Language School provides a unique learning experience based on Accelerated Learning, Experiential Based Learning, and Performance Based Assessment. Our materials help students analyze, synthesize, and apply content information to practical experience. Some classes have traditional objectively answered exams available as an alternative learning and assessment style. Education is critical to the full actualization of the individual person and the success of the community.

ACLS provides novel and alternate approaches to learning and assessment to meet the needs and requirements of a 21st century education. Merging new concepts with original thinking and practical skills, our curriculum creates innovative and dynamic learning capacity, competence, and confidence to meet future challenges. We have over 40 years of educational experience designing curriculum for school districts and universities. We have spoken with and surveyed more than 40,000 educators about how teachers and students interact in the classroom. ACLS curriculum is based on three strategies: Accelerated Learning, Experiential Based Learning, and Performance Based Assessment.

Accelerated Learning

Accelerated learning is a methodology and approach to teaching and to learning which allows students to:

• Take in more information quickly with a better understanding of practical application.
• Quickly identify and prioritize key concepts in large amounts of material.
• Analyze and evaluate problems efficiently to reduce the necessary hours of homework study.

Experiential Based Learning The antithesis of rote memorization learning models, our philosophy is to give students a set of concepts to experiment with in practical settings through observation, analysis, and finally reporting their findings and processes. Experiential based learning is critical to the process of self-discovery and enlightenment. (Traditional learning and assessment styles are also available to students.)

Performance Based
Assessments

Assessment During the course of education and learning, students learn new knowledge, acquire skills, and develop practical work habits. While traditional education focuses on memorizing information for a exams, performance-based assessments require the student to apply knowledge, skills, and proper work habits through the performance of practical tasks rooted in the curriculum material. These assessments are meaningful and engaging, designed to develop practical long-term retention of the learned material. They focus on how well you can use what you know—application is the priority.
