Accessibility at AC Language School
At AC Language School, we are committed to ensuring that all students can fully engage in our learning experiences. We believe that the quality of education is enriched when every student has the opportunity to participate.
Our Commitment to Inclusivity
Inclusivity is a fundamental principle in our approach to designing learning experiences. We firmly believe that a learning experience must be accessible to all learners to meet our high standards of quality education.
Our Approach to Accessibility
At AC Language School Group, accessibility means more than just enabling learners to use our products; it means ensuring that they can use our products in a way that delivers a meaningful and effective learning experience.
Here’s how we are actively working to make our learning experiences accessible:
- Meeting International Standards: We are dedicated to meeting internationally recognized accessibility standards, including WCAG 2.1 AA/Section 508, to ensure our products are accessible to a wide range of learners.
- Inclusive Design: Our teams are trained to develop products with accessibility in mind, always considering the diverse needs of the learners we serve.
- Continuous Evaluation: We engage with partners to regularly review and assess the accessibility of our products, going beyond accessibility audits and VPATs.
- Transparency: We believe in transparency when it comes to accessibility. We openly communicate our progress, future plans, and our ultimate goals in this regard.
Our Implementation Strategies
To achieve our accessibility goals, we employ the following strategies:
- Dedicated Accessibility Team: We have a team of accessibility specialists who work closely with development teams and Disability Support Services Offices to assist students and instructors who may face accessibility barriers.
- User Involvement: We incorporate users with diverse abilities in our research and testing processes to gain valuable insights and feedback.
- Cross-Functional Initiatives: Our cross-functional working groups plan and implement various accessibility initiatives, including those tailored for specific needs, such as Dyslexia, Lights Off mode, color and image inversion, link underlining, color customization, readable fonts, and font resizing.
At AC Language School, we are committed to making education accessible to everyone, and we continuously strive to create a more inclusive and accommodating learning environment for all our students and instructors.
