Course Description:Â Â Â
This course will explore the approaches, methods, and techniques used in teaching language skills and developing cross-cultural understandings to second/foreign language learners at the elementary and secondary levels. The emphasis of the course includes curriculum development, language development through different development stages and through content areas, language testing, lesson planning, and micro-teaching.Â

- Learn effective strategies to integrate the bilingual child in more extra class activitiesÂ
- Learn more about his cultural values and see the differences between the native culture and the Anglo-American cultural value system Â
- Understand the process of acculturationÂ
- Identify supervision strategies to assist other school personnel in bi-lingual educationÂ
