  • Description: This course will study the historical, economic, political, social and psychological foundations of philanthropy in our society as well as the ethical, legal and financial aspects of organizational resource development. The role of leadership strategies for acquisition, maintenance and stewardship of resources will be explored. Students will review successful fundraising campaigns and develop a prototype fundraising campaign.   
    Prerequisite: Graduate Program in Education

Through this course, students will explore various digital tools and platforms available for helping their non-profits reach their goals more effectively and efficiently. Students will learn about search engine optimization (SEO), content creation, email marketing, website analytics, social media management, and other topics related to effective online marketing strategies. By the end of this course, the student should be better equipped with the know-how of developing creative campaigns that drive a measurable ROI in order to help further their mission.
